About Us

The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Georgia, established in 1870 under the leadership of Rev. James M. Simms, is a historic fraternal organization rooted in the values of integrity, brotherhood, and service. Born out of the post-Civil War effort to unite African American Masons across Georgia, our Grand Lodge traces its origins to the earliest lodges chartered by recognized Masonic authorities. We proudly carry forward a legacy of resilience, empowerment, and community leadership, committed to fostering personal growth, moral character, and unity among our members while making a positive impact throughout the state.
